Preserve Lakewood. Save Our Neighborhood Schools.
Lakewood's school board is currently considering whether to close and repurpose one or even two of Lakewood's seven neighborhood elementary schools. The superintendent recently released a statement pushing back the timeline on this decision, without sharing a specific timeline or next steps. Read our response, or learn more about this process.
Schools that may be closed and repurposed are Grant, Lincoln, and Roosevelt, and the school board may vote to close and repurpose up to two of these schools, as well as to redraw the attendance boundaries for all seven of Lakewood's elementary schools.

Preserve Lakewood Schools is working to educate residents about the school board's possible plans, provide information and resources, and inspire residents to take action and share their opinions with the school board, with the goal of preserving all seven of Lakewood's neighborhood elementary schools - one of Lakewood's most precious assets.
